We Won ! ! ! :: Poshmark’s Heart and Hustle Grant

We Won ! ! ! :: Poshmark’s Heart and Hustle Grant

Yay….Yay…Yay..did I say Yay?

Gosh, I can’t express how good this feels to win my first business grant. It’s my first big reward for such a careful effort to grow MCGLAMOROUS. To begin, let me say how much I enjoy re-selling but mostly creating my ideas and art to sell.

Here’s the cool deal. Poshmark holds you up to do it. In a world gone mad, they are a gust of encouraging wind in the sails of the McGlamorous ship! We have been working since 2013, even from a sickbed, sharing, giving, researching, you name it, to get it all out. This has come at the perfect timing, and with God’s help, of course.

Each seasonal cycle within the four seasons, Poshmark gives away a Heart & Hustle grant to sellers with a certain number or more of sales between periods. I thought about this, tried it the first go-round, but did not get my link correct. Disappointed, I decided to think again about entering, tried again, and got picked! The timing was just perfect, as I knew that I would be relocating my home-based business. Extra support was a true blessing, but mostly the inspiration of getting visions and dreams out there is a free-ing, wonderful feeling. Congrats to all the winners!

So what’s next?

Well…Onward! We keep creating, keep writing, keep dreaming. We are currently preparing a newsletter you can subscribe to, and are adding all sorts of different categories to the jewelry including Tropicals, Celestial, and more.

That is the wind in the sails. I just wanted to share the good news. Please pass it on, and Thank you for your business and support.

All About the Share

All About the Share

Hi there, and greetings from McGlamorous. I felt an urge to share a short eye-opening post about Poshmark this week and so here it goes.

As I was in the yard working the other day, I was thinking about how to get my jewelry more noticed on the site without always re-listing it, and remembered something smart. Putting your best items at the top can assure you that your latest listings get shared after you share another seller’s profile. The items will be first when they click your profile, and most people on Posh are great about sharing back. I tend to share three items per one of mine, and this is a good system to think about using too. There are plenty of sharing games that you can participate in as well, if you feel like doing this.

You really do get back what you give on Poshmark. Beginning sellers can benefit from finding closets with a lower follower count And help the build their folllower list. Personally , I was so excited when I did this for a couple of years. I won the $100 reward from Posh shortly afterwards, and it felt like I had been rewarded by the heavens for doing a good deed. Answered prayer, because that is how I got my electric guitar!

For new users, this can be a good tip, plus hooking up all your sharing settings. Twitter is a greater place to share and be shared. They also have the options of Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and more. To go to these setting you can click on your profile logo to get to where you are going, as seen here ::

Look for your sharing settings.

Looking Fly :: How to Make Your Poshmark Feed Look Great

Looking Fly :: How to Make Your Poshmark Feed Look Great

I’ve been doing Poshmark for a little while now, and want to share my discovery of categorizing items from your closet. I hope that this post will help to communicate some ideas on making your closet look a little more appealing. Little touches make all the difference, as I am learning, and if you are in a place for this improvement, here is a suggestion.

Have you ever browsed through Poshmark and found those closets that are so organized with special labels that introduced their items? I have and always wanted to emulate the idea. One night I just had an epiphany and started using Canva to make simple photos that matched my brand. It was not anything really complex, just simple graphic design, using the app or any free apps out there. I had asked Posh support on how to label pantsuits. They really don’t have a category, and when the suits, skirts, etc., party comes, there is nowhere to put them. By making a picture I found that I could do this by labeling one way in the photo and tagging it in a different category.

Example :

Here I have made a graphic for Pantsuits but labeled it in the proper category. You can put it in the correct category to your liking as seen here.

By by using the drop-down you can get as creative as needed. It’s sort of like squeezing something into an adaptable category to get the job done.

I liked to look of the branding as well, and this leaves you some room to share more info and get your “look” out there.

After using the method for a week or so, I found an increase in organization. I could share however many pictures I wanted but still end with my graphic for that category. In other words, share a bracelet picture but end it with sharing that category graphic behind it, as Poshmark feed goes in reverse. This way you don’t have to share the entire group if you don’t want to. It is already changing the game, and I love it when creativity strikes. Epiphany!

Anyways, hope this has been of some help. I am thinking ahead of graphic – design related posts now, so please visit my website in the future for more Posh related posts!
